farewells & Gran Paradiso
The reality of people leaving just hits you when you attend farewell dinners, final meet-ups and all sorts of social engagements. My dear Lena has left...sob, back to Texas. She's my beloved shopping partner, lunching partner and basically hangout dudette. Yes, time for play and fantasies and temporal relationships IS over. Back to reality, stress at school, people to face and life back home. I'm getting stressed out about returning, how ironic. maybe i should tie myself to one of the obelixes or the spikes of the duomo.
YAY i finally went to Gran Paradiso National Park, it's like a scene out of "The Sound of Music", the snow capped mountains make you wanna yodel and the meadows filled with daffodils and dandelions make you wanna just jump in and lie amongst the bugs and the ticklish weeds. thank God the weather held up for us! a pity we didn't see any ibexes though. It was my first time in a coniferous forest, complete with cones and vegetation never to be seen in tropical lands. I even drank FRESH MoUNTAN SPRING WATER, evien can go suck thumb. i think that made me a lil high when i returned to Milano, according to Van. Maybe the FRESH PURE SPRING WATER will help lengthen my semi-shortened life (caused by massive amounts of 2nd-hand smoke)
What a lovely getaway from the city!

the town hall of Aosta, i love the statues which are so different from the classic classy italian ones coz these are so adorable, with exaggerated features tt makes everything fun. Aosta was the town where we left for Cogne, the gateway to Gran Paradiso.

the hills are aliveeeeeeee......

the Valleys, the breathtaking sight that greeted us.
Dave who has the SLR has the most magnificent pictures of coz, I'd upload them when i get them. Meanwhile, i'd let my pictures do the talking.
oh man *shrieks* i've a blog fan! *blush* the oriental haircut was really unintentional, and i've got no mates for u to murder, but by all means, u can hunt the old ones down and bludgeon all of them complete with my sincerest gratitude. ;)
